Organiser Mike Anderson of Hale Events was thrilled to see such encouraging support for this event from the industry. He said, “We’ve had such a positive response from both exhibitors and buyers to this years show. Attendance is up 50% on last year reflecting the consumer-led demand for high quality British products and we hope the show will become more successful each year.”
More than 270 talented artists from all corners of the UK came to showcase their beautiful creative products for trade buyers from independent retailers, galleries, tourist attractions multiple retailers and heritage sites attended the event. This year SELECT welcomed it’s first international buyer from Ghana.
It was clear that first time trade visitors to SELECT were surprised by the quality and choice of product available. Diane Leitch owner of The Present Shop in Aberdeen said “Select is really well laid out, with excellent products, a nice manageable size and very friendly.”
Exhibitors are also keen to show their support for this high quality event. Charlotte Mackrill of The Outdoor Place said, “Excellent, every year gets better! The quality and organisation is outstanding and both the customers and exhibitors were great. I look forward to exhibiting again next year.” Newcomer, Helen Brice of Helen Brice Designs said “Very pleased with the show…good sales, nice atmosphere, will be back next year.”
